Each Christian is sent forth to be a sign of God's presence in a world in need of healing and reconciliation. The rites of initiation and the weekly celebration of the Eucharist are meant to prepare and nourish us for ministry. All members of St. Clement's are encouraged to participate in the life of the parish and to identify and use the gifts they have been given, and to recognize the ministry in their daily lives. Gather Groups at St. Clement’s Under an initiative started by the Pastoral Care committee, small clusters of individuals have gathered together through shared interests. Anyone is invited to start their own group, publicize it through The Chimes, Sunday bulletin or Parish Hall bulletin board. Gather Groups have formed for one-time events such as a museum exhibit, or for a series of activities, such as the Baseball Group’s July Twins games. Here are a few groups that have formed: Lunch at St. Martin's Table - The group meets at this Minneapolis center of peace and justice for conversation, good food, and fellowship. Bridge Players - Players gather and perfect their game of skill and chance. Tapestry Folk Dancing - Learn new steps from dancing parishioners. Empty Nesters - The group offers support and humor during this transitional period in parents’ lives. Jane Austen Fan Club - Open to all and devoted to anything and everything Jane Austen. Golf Spirituality - This group hits the greens with gusto every summer. St. Clement's Knitters - All skill levels gather to perfect the art of knitting. Baby hats are knit for the youngest members of our parish. Contemplative Prayer - Started during Lent, this group met for a multi-week class together and continued throughout the year. Theme Dinners - Every 2 months interested folks get together to prepare and enjoy a magnificent gourmet meal. Bread Bakers - One Saturday a month, a group bakes bread in the church kitchen. Loaves are handed out to newcomers after the 10:30 Sunday service the next day. Other items of interest:
