Our Rector

In January 2007, we welcomed the Rev. Beth Royalty as St. Clement's first new rector in more than 20 years. It's an exciting and energizing time in the life of our parish.

Welcome
A Message from The Rev’d. V. Beth Royalty
Rector, St. Clement’s Episcopal Church

Whether you are new to the Episcopal Church, returning after a break, or have always been involved in the Episcopal Church, we welcome you to our community. St. Clement’s Episcopal Church is a thriving, energetic Christian community that seeks to know and love God through Jesus Christ, and in faith strives to live out God’s calling in our individual and communal lives in our parish and in the world.  Through worship, fellowship, education and outreach, through prayer, music and action and in joy we seek to know God and to know ourselves as God’s beloved creation.

Living out the via media, or “middle way”, that is inherent to our Anglican and Episcopal heritage, we prayerfully look for ways that the Holy Spirit is revealing God’s love to us.  Young or old, ordained, lay, singles, families, “empty-nesters” - seekers all are welcome.  We hope that you will explore the vibrant community within these 114-year-old walls, and join us as we grow in faith and love, and proclaim “by word and example, the Good News of God in Christ.”    (The Book of Common Prayer, page 305)

Upcoming Events

NEW SUMMER SERVICE
St. Clement’s will begin offering a Compline service at 7:00 pm on Sunday evenings beginning July 5. If you are up at the lake on weekends and can’t make it to the Sunday morning service or if you just need a time for quiet reflection before the week begins, this may be the service for you.
The Compline service is a very traditional form of Anglican prayer. One jewel of this beautiful liturgy appears toward the end:
"Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping;
that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace."
